It’s a fair question, and one I take seriously. I know readers are investing their time, their attention, and sometimes a bit of hope that a book will deliver something meaningful.
If you’re on the fence, here are five spoiler-free reasons why I think Galaxy’s Child deserves a spot on your shelf:
1.A Sci-Fi Hero You Can Actually Relate To
Philip Anders isn’t a perfect genius or a fearless leader. He’s someone trying to find his place, awkward, brilliant, and constantly questioning himself. If you’ve ever felt like an underdog, or wondered if you were meant for more, his journey might just hit home.
2.Technology Rooted in Science, Not Magic
The faster-than-light tech, the moon base, the control systems, all of it is inspired by real science and grounded in logical design. I didn’t want to wave away the details. I wanted readers to believe it could work, even if it’s still out of reach (maybe).
3.A Story That Grows as You Go
What starts as a mission quickly evolves into something bigger, something deeper. Characters change. Stakes rise. And just when you think you know where it’s going, something shifts. There’s room for wonder, tension, and a few sharp turns along the way.
4.Emotional Weight, Not Just Explosions
Yes, there are ships. Yes, there are intense moments. But the heart of this book is its characters. It’s about loyalty, loss, and the pressure of living up to expectations, especially your own. If you’re drawn to stories with emotional depth, you’ll find it here.
5.It’s Only the Beginning
Galaxy’s Child is book one of a trilogy, and while it tells a complete story, there’s much more to come. Books two and three are already in development, and the scope is only going to get grander from here.
If any of this speaks to you, I’d be honored if you gave it a read.
